Hazleton Police Department welcomes K-9 A'Sheridan

A'Sheridan will turn two in December, and will start working by late fall.

HAZLETON, Pa. — Hazleton City Police Department introduced its newest officer on Saturday - meet K-9 A'Sheridan.

The German Shepherd has been in training since he was just eight weeks old. He will turn two years old in December.

A'Sheridan and his handler, Officer Brandon McGinnis, just finished their first of 12 weeks of patrol school at Penn Vet Working Dog Center in Philadelphia.

By late fall, K-9 A'Sheridan will be brought back to work the streets of Hazleton.
