HAZLE TOWNSHIP -- An arrest has been made for a homicide in Luzerne County after a body was found in the woods near Hazleton.
Jancarlos Perez, 21, of Hazleton is in custody charged with homicide and arson.
It all started around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, when state troopers found the body of Jose Concepcion, 23, near Hazleton. He had a gunshot wound in the head.
Troopers say about two hours before that, an SUV that Concepcion was driving was found burning on Stockton Road in Hazleton. Police believe it was set on fire.
Police say Jancarlos Perez, the man charged with Concepcion's killing, initially came to them claiming he had information. Instead, police charged him.
There is no word on a motive.
Perez is locked up in Luzerne County.
