LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A benefit was held Wednesday in Luzerne County for a young woman who was severely injured in a diving accident.
Amy Wert is a Holy Redeemer graduate who went on to law school.
The benefit, held at Mainstreet Galleries in Kingston, featured live music and a silent auction.
She's back in her hometown after three months in rehab in Georgia.
The Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association Young Lawyers' Division hosted the benefit to offset medical costs for Amy and her family.
Friends have also set up a GoFundMe page to help with expenses.
