RANSOM TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- State police want answers after two people were found dead in a home in Lackawanna County.
Troopers in Dunmore say they spent more than four and a half hours Thursday night looking over evidence from the apparent murder-suicide in Ransom Township.
According to officials, Robert Bowen, 68, of Clarks Summit shot and killed Barbara Naumann, 58, of Dunmore before turning the gun on himself.
Police would not say what the relationship was between Bowen and Naumann, but troopers believe the two knew each other.
Authorities say the bodies were found inside this home along Ransom Road in Ransom Township earlier Thursday morning, but troopers believe the shooting could have happened sometime Wednesday night.
Autopsies on Thursday confirmed both victims died from the gunshot wounds.
Troopers are inside the barracks in Dunmore trying to piece together a motive.
