LACKAWANNA STATE PARK, Pa. -- Officials are searching for the vandal or vandals who hit Lackawanna State Park.

State park officials say during the last two snowstorms, someone has been driving around the park, causing lots of damage and stealing.

Park officials posted photos of the damage to their Facebook page.

"Can't understand why they do it, I mean they take nice care of this park, it's a shame," said Paul Bede of Dalton.

"I think people need things to do instead of coming up here and damaging other peoples' property. I think they should come up and enjoy the park, because it's beautiful. The cold park people take good care of it. We know all of them and they're very friendly and very nice and I think it's just terrible that they would damage something other people like to enjoy," said Joyce Bede of Dalton.

Many use the park all year round.

"It's a shame. Can't understand why people would take advantage of doing something like that I really don't," said Teri Bede of Dalton. "I've been here for a number of years, every day, and I enjoy coming here, so, I haven't seen that before and I've been here. Haven't seen people destroying anything. I don't know."

Anyone with any information is asked to call park officials or the police.
