SCRANTON, Pa. -- A 10-year-old girl from Dunmore was recognized for her generosity.
Madison Lutz held a stuffed animal sale and two lemonade stands to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of Scranton, an organization that provides a housing for parents of children in the hospital.
Madison's concern for others caught the attention of Lackawanna County commissioners when she said that if she had a million dollars, she'd give it all to the Ronald McDonald House.
"I felt really happy inside they recognized me for what I thought and that other kids probably wouldn't have said that," Lutz said.
To help her cause, Lackawanna County commissioners gave Madison $200 on Wednesday.
