New charges against former sewer authority manager

Evans and his son were also charged in Lackawanna County last year.

GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A former sewer authority manager in Lackawanna County is facing new charges.

Bruce Evans Sr., 67, is accused of violating the U.S. Clean Water Act for improperly managing a pump station in Greenfield Township, and of defrauding the township by using sewer authority money and property for his personal use.

Evans, and his son, Bruce Evans Jr., 38, were indicted last year on charges related to financial and environmental crimes in the township in Lackawanna County.
