MOOSIC, Pa. -- It was a nearly sold-out crowd at PNC Field in Moosic Tuesday night as fans packed the place to get a glimpse of New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.
Judge was there as part of a rehab assignment as he recovers from an injury.
Judge was a star for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
Fans came from all over to see the home-run hitter in action. Newswatch 16 met people from as far away as Canada.
"Oh, it's just amazing. I just want to go down there and give him a great big kiss and a hug! I'm just so excited," said Anna Krug of Greentown.
"As soon as we knew he was here we bought tickets as fast as we could, and I left work early. I took them out of school early, and we came," said Tara Kane of Goshen, New York.
Judge did not disappoint. The slugger did in fact, send one over the fence in Tuesday night's game.
