UPDATE: Emergency bridge repairs in Lackawanna County now finished

Drivers had to take a nearly 10-mile detour until work is completed.

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — UPDATE: 

Emergency work on the bridge is now finished.

A section of Route 107 will close Friday for emergency bridge repairs.

PennDOT said crews will do deck and wall repairs and install drainage.

Work is scheduled through June 19.

Drivers will have to take a nearly 10-mile detour until work is complete.

The detour will use Business Route 6 (Scranton/Carbondale highway) to Route 247 for Route 107 Northbound and Route 247 to Business Route 6 for Route 107 Southbound.
