SCRANTON -- Saint Patrick's Day is right around the corner and the Little Sisters of the Poor kicked off their celebration in Scranton Sunday.
The sisters held their Second Annual Saint Patrick's Day Celebration and Dinner at the Holy Family Residence on Adams Avenue.
The event started with Mass featuring traditional Irish songs and a bagpipe procession.
"It's wonderful, it's overwhelming. We're very grateful for all the support we get from the City of Scranton," said Sister Maureen Weiss, Little Sisters of the Poor. "We know we are loved and we know we love them."
Sister Maureen says money raised at Sunday's dinner is expected to help the sister's replace the windows on their home in Scranton.
