SCRANTON -- Dozens gathered inside Hillary Clinton's campaign office in Scranton to help send-off delegates to the convention in Philadelphia.

This is Grace McGregor Kramer's first time as a delegate.

"I think a lot of unification has already happened at the high level, but now it's getting some of the loudest, biggest supporters together and talk and hash through some issues and differences," said McGregor Kramer.

This send-off comes right after Clinton announced Virginia senator Tim Kaine as her running mate.

"He's a very safe choice," said Jennifer Newland of Roseto. "He's a good choice and I think Hillary knows what she's doing!"

As Democrats are heading out for the convention in Philadelphia, Republican delegates are returning home after spending the last severals days in Cleveland.

"It is a big, big, big party," said Andrew Shecktor of Berwick. "I have never seen anything like that."

Shecktor is still riding the high after a week as one of Pennsylvania's Republican delegates.

Shecktor met Donald Trump for the first time 42 years ago when he was helping install equipment on Trump's yacht. But for Shecktor, his support for Trump wasn't cemented until the end of the convention.

"Throughout his primary campaign, I'm like, 'This is not Donald Trump,'" said Shecktor. "Thursday night, he proved he's Donald Trump and he's a presidential candidate and presidential material in my opinion."
