Bradford County coroner resigning over embarrassing video

Tom Carman was seen in a video allegedly trying to meet up with someone for sex who was posing online as a 15-year-old boy.

BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa. — The Bradford County coroner handed in his resignation.

At first, the resignation of long-time coroner Tom Carman seemed to come out of the blue.

Then, more information was revealed.

Musa Harris, who calls himself the Luzerne County Predator Catcher, allegedly confronted Carman at a convenience store in Kingston.

Here is part of their conversation:

"Why are you here.
"I'm getting a coffee."
"You're getting coffee?"
"I think I should call the police."

Harris says he shot the video on Tuesday after he, posing as a 15-year-old boy online, engaged in a lewd conversation with a man who agreed to meet in Kingston for sex.

When it was Carman who showed up, Harris confronted him.

Carman got in his vehicle to leave, but harris even captured the license plate of the vehicle.

The gas station in Kingston is more than an hour's drive from the Bradford County courthouse in Towanda.

By Wednesday, Carman resigned, right in the middle of his fourth term as county coroner.

For residents of Bradford County, this is gut-punch number two from the courthouse this year.

The coroner's resignation comes just a little more than a month after the District Attorney pleaded guilty to sexual assault charges.

D.A. Chad Salsman first called the charges against him a pack of vicious lies.

Then later admitted, he used his position as an attorney and as D.A. to pressure women into having sex.

No charges are filed against Tom Carman.

The Luzerne County District Attorney only confirms that Carman is being investigated because of what is seen in the video.
