COVID-19 concerns slow rollout of REAL ID

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The deadline for REAL ID has been extended for a year in Pennsylvania.

According to PennDOT, the federal REAL ID deadline has been postponed to October 1, 2021, in response to COVID-19 and the national emergency declaration. 

PennDOT has temporarily paused REAL ID issuance in the Commonwealth.
