Pottery, painting, and performance that's just part of the mix making up a special summer camp about to launch in Lackawanna County. Newswatch 16's Ryan Leckey got a look at "Camp Create" Wednesday on Newswatch 16 This Morning.

"Camp Create" is a theatre and visual arts camp for special needs children. It's geared toward youngsters ages six to 12 years old or equivalent abilities. The camp will hold sessions over the following weeks: August  8-12 and August 15-19 at the Waverly Community House just outside of Clarks Summit in Lackawanna County.

Classes run each day during that time-frame from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The cost is $25.00 a child for the entire week of camp.  Scholarships are also available to help families that qualify.  To sign up, you can email "allabouttheatre@gmail.com" or call 570-586-8099. "Camp Create" is funded by grants and community donations. It's taught by professional and practicing artists with more than 50 years combined experience teaching art to individuals with special needs.  Check out Camp Create's Facebook page here.
