Marshall Keely is a weekday reporter for WNEP. He comes to WNEP from across the state in Johnstown where he worked as a reporter serving the Altoona region for WJAC-TV. In addition to reporting in Altoona, Marshall served as the weekend news anchor in Johnson for a year.
Marshall started his television news career at WHP in Harrisburg where he interned and later worked as a production assistant. He regularly appeared on the station’s high school football segments.
A Maryland native, Marshall grew up on a farm just outside of Hagerstown, Maryland. He attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in journalism. While working on his undergraduate degree, Marshall received an Emmy Award for his story highlighting a youth summer camp for siblings of cancer patients and survivors that he attended in his youth and continues to volunteer within his adulthood. Additionally, Marshall was a student news director for SUTV – the Shippensburg University Television Station.
Marshall is the self-proclaimed biggest fan of ‘The Office’ out there. He still watches the show regularly and enjoys visiting ‘The Office’ sites in and around Scranton. You might catch Marshall running along the Susquehanna River or hiking in the beautiful Pennsylvania Mountains. He enjoys staying active and enjoying nature.
