Family and friends are mourning the loss of a well-known businessman from Susquehanna County.

State police said Sandy Buselli of Lenox Township died in a head-on crash Wednesday morning.

Buselli, 51, grew up in Dunmore in Lackawanna County. He opened Glenwood Auto Sales, a used car business, on Route 92 near Nicholson.

Paula Ralston was a loyal customer. "I bought two cars off of him at different times, and he was always so helpful. He would help you anyway he could. He was just a nice man. He had a big heart; he'd help anybody that needed it," Ralston said.

Buselli's car crossed the center line and hit a sport/utility vehicle head-on, according to state police. Buselli died at the scene.

Officers said the driver of the SUV, Ian Billets of Nicholson, was treated for minor injuries.

"There isn't words. Just an emptiness," said Don Schmidt of Nicholson Township.

Schmidt said the community lost a dependable businessman. He lost a devoted friend who loved life. "Full of life, vigor, he was very competitive type guy, avid coin collector, smart, intelligent, helpful. Ask him for something and you got threefold from him," said Schmidt.

Buselli's neighbor Candy Rose said the loss is hard to bear.

"If you had a problem, you went and seen him and he was there. He was a friend. When we lost our daughter, he was there for us," said Rose. "He'll be missed; I hope everybody can get through the tragedy."

Sandy Buselli leaves behind a 14-year-old daughter.
