Traffic Nightmare for Penn State Fans
Fans returning to northeastern and central Pennsylvania from Saturday's Penn State game ran into a traffic mess on Interstate 80.

A wreck near the Jersey Shore exit led to a backup stretching for miles and miles on Interstate 80 east. Most drivers had to put their vehicles into park and sit and wait. The jam lasted for hours.

State police said the wreck involved two vehicles. One lane was blocked on the eastbound side of the highway at milemarker 190. At times, both lanes had to be closed to allow a medical helicopter to land and allow crews to tow away the vehicles.

State police expected all lanes of the highway to reopen at 10 p.m. They do expect it to take a while for the massive backup to clear.
