Red Cross Prepares for Possible Flooding
The American Red Cross in Lackawanna County is loading up trucks with supplies in case emergency shelters are needed.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for most of the state on Sunday. The forecast calls for two to three inches of rain in some spots.

Because of that, the Red Cross is preparing in case there is any flash flooding. Volunteers spent part of Sunday night loading trucks with cots and other supplies.

Trucks will be placed in different spots in Lackawanna County to allow quick response in case there are any flooding problems.

"I'd rather take the equipment and the assets to a location and never use it and be prepared for the worst and smile when I take the stuff home cause I never used it," said director of emergency services Brian Wrightson.
