A man is dead after an apparent drowning in Pike County.
The body of George Barbito, 54, of Tafton was discovered in Lake Wallenpaupack just after 11 p.m. Monday. Officials said it happened in the area of the Cove Cottage Marina near Route 507 in Palmyra Township.
Newswatch 16 found crews and the coroner at the lake early Tuesday morning.
Police said emergency crews found Barbito's body in the water next to a dock after his wife and friend could not find him.
An autopsy is still to be scheduled. Police are investigating this death in Pike County.
