A jury in Monroe County is now deliberating in the case against a man accused of double murder.
The case against Jason Koehler dates back to 2004.
Closing arguments wrapped up around noon in Koehler's trial in Stroudsburg.
Police said Koehler shot and killed two people and injured a third in a drug-related shooting at a house near Kresgeville in 2004.
Tuesday Koehler's attorney told jurors his client was acting in self defense and that one of the victims pulled a gun on Koehler the night of the shooting and that, "In that split second had to make the decision whether to be killed or kill. He choose kill."
The prosecution told jurors it was an "attempted execution" and a "drug deal gone bad."
Prosecutors said Koehler came to the home with a loaded gun, shot the three victims in the head and then threw their bodies in the basement after robbing them.
Three years ago. Koehler was sentenced by a judge to 40 to 80 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. Before his sentencing Koehler tried to withdraw his guilty plea.
A judge denied that request.
Koehler appealed and was granted a new trial last year.
