Crash Closes Monroe County Road
Drivers in part of Monroe County feaced delays Friday morning after a crash.

According to state police, a car crashed into a pole around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Route 209 near the Route 715 intersection in Chestnuthill Township, near Brodheadsville.

The crash knocked down the pole and wires. No one was hurt.

PPL said power was knocked out to several homes in the area for a short time. Crews continued to work on the downed lines.

Route 209 was closed between Dairy Lane and Silver Valley Road. The road opened about 10 a.m.
