A high school wrestling team in Lycoming County is back in action, competing for the first time in more than a week after a crash killed one teammate and seriously injured his brother.

Competing in a match for the first time since one of their teammates died after a crash, the Montoursville Area wrestling team paid tribute to Cordell Page. The Warriors said giving it their all out on the mat is what Cordell would have wanted.

Cordell Page died Saturday after a crash that also seriously injured his brother, William.

Before their first match without Cordell, the team covered a logo on the mat honoring the Page brothers. The crowd then joined the team for a moment of silence.

"For Cordell and Willie tonight and that whole Page family, I'm hoping that every kid we have goes out there and gives 100 percent. I think it's unrealistic to ask these kids to go out and just win for them. I think they need to go out and give 100 percent for them. I know that's what they would want," said Jamie Yonkin, Montoursville wrestling coach.

"Wrestle as hard as we can. Everything we're going to do out there is for them. We're going to wrestle our hearts out," said teammate Ben Carey.

The team paid tribute to Cordell and William with ribbons, by shaving their initials into their hair and by wearing special T-shirts.

"Dedicated to Will and Cordell. Got the 130 (lb. weight class) for Will, that's what he wrestled. And the 135, that's what Cordell wrestled. In memory of them, actually in memory of Cordell, we're still pushing for Will right now," said teammate Luke Frey.

The warriors said dealing with the loss of a teammate has been tough but Cordell loved the sport so they're trying for some pins just for him.

"Really, really tough. But we've had all our team there for us, non-stop, just constantly around each other and that's really helped, but it's still be really tough," added Carey.

"He's our brother. He always will be," added Frey. "Once you're on the wrestling team here, you're family."

The viewing for Cordell Page will be Friday night at the Montoursville Area high school gym. His funeral is set for Saturday.

As for William Page, the coach said he is still in the hospital, but showing signs of improvement.
