An Amber Alert for one-and-a-half year old A'dryn Drummond went out early Thursday afternoon.
Police in Williamsport said his boy's father,0 Johnnie Drummond, took the toddler.
Investigators said Drummond has a weapon and should be considered dangerous .
Police said Drummond, his ex-girlfriend, and his son, A'dryn, were driving along Hepburn Street in Williamsport in a black Mercury Mariner with Pennsylvania license plate FPM 3019.
According to investigators Drummond and the woman got into got an argument. Drummond kicked her out of the vehicle and took off with his son.
Police have issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for the little boy and a warrant is out for Drummond's arrest.
"The child was taken from the mother by Mr. Drummond. He is the biological father of the child but Mr. Drummond is possibly at risk for harming himself and the child is possibly at risk," said Stephen Sorage of Williamsport police.
Police said there is also another warrant out for Drummond's arrest for another matter. Officials from Berks County sheriff's Department said they have been searching for him since last August. Drummond, who had been convicted on felony drug charges, was given a temporary pass to leave a halfway house but never returned.
Drummond and his son were last seen heading east on Route 973 near Williamsport.
