It is that time of year again for back to school uniform shopping.

The cash registers are up and running at Flynn and O'Hara in Plains Township, in Luzerne County, as parents busily buy uniforms for the upcoming school year.

"It does get hectic, you know, getting them what they need. You want to get them what they want, what the school requires and you know sometimes it gets a little hairy," said Lou Bezdziecki of Flynn and O'Hara.

Customers said they are happy to have their children in school uniforms.

"I mean there's no problems with, we know exactly what we need to purchase, it's right here, they can order it online if need be and ship it to our house," said Paulette Repella of Bear Creak Village.

While the start of school is still weeks away, parents said getting the shopping done early is best for them.

"My kids are eight and 10, and we struggled all the years trying to do it in August, and there's never anything left. It's better to do it early. The kids don't like it," said Janet Lucas of Scranton.

Whether the kids like it or not, the fact remains, the uniform store is busy and workers expect it to stay that way through the end of August.
