A man with a gun got away with prescription painkillers in a hold-up Wednesday afternoon in Lackawanna County.
Police said Tuzze's Pharmacy on Poplar Street in Mayfield was robbed around noon. The gunman demanded Oxycontin and Percocet. A worker ran to a business next door for help.
"A lady that works at the pharmacy came over at a quarter after 12 screaming to help her. She said she was being robbed at gunpoint, so we called 911. She was scared to death. She left the pharmacist in there alone..She didn't know what was going on and the guy was still there," said witness Tracy Sosa.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
