It was a woman from Lackawanna County who died in a crash Saturday night along Interstate 380 in Monroe County.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes near the Gouldsboro exit. The wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. and had I-380 south closed for nearly three hours.
The victim was identified by police as Maureen Perih, 45, of Moscow.
The two vehicles were headed north when state police say said Perih tried to pass the other vehicle. Troopers tell us Perih's vehicle swerved back into the right lane and both vehicles rolled down the embankment toward the southbound lanes. Perih was thrown from her vehicle and killed.
The other driver was taken to the hospital.
