"This is the only case where I had it to this extent and person perpetrating the abuse had video taped himself to the extent that Hutchings did. Remember, he's a professional photograph with crystal clear color and sound," McDonald said.

The mother of two of Hutchings victims was in court and watched as he received his sentence. "It was very difficult to get through today. Hearing them say what an outstanding citizen he was in our community and know that's what he used to pull my children to him was very difficult," the mother said.

Last year Hutchings pleaded guilty to 36 counts of child molestation. Hutchings assaulted six girls and one boy over the span of a decade. McDonald said he used his positions, such as soft ball coach and crossing guard, to lure his victims.

"Mr. Hutchings had many opportunities to say he was sorry. I feel part of the reason he was sorry today is because he knew the sentence he was going to be facing. He is a monster and the things he did to these children are in excusable," the assistant district attorney said.
