Every year, it's a night of mischief. Halloween is all about tricks and treats.
"The toilet paper stuff, the soapings the things like that. We get the occasional criminal mischiefs," said Wilkes-Barre Police Lieutenant Steve Olshefski.
This year, Halloween falls on a weekend.
There could be more problems than usual so Wilkes-Barre police officers will be out en force.
"It's important for parents to know we'll be out with a heavy concentration in the residential neighborhoods where kids tend to trick or treat door to door," Olshefski added.
Also this weekend, with so many children out and about, police warn drivers to be very careful.
"Kids need to be aware and motorists need to be aware there's a higher probability of kids coming out between cars and they tend to get excited. It's a big night for them," Olshefski said.
Police urge caution for parents and children and while they urge everyone to have a good time, they said it's important to think safety this weekend.
"Common sense goes a long way Halloween night," Lieutenant Olshefski said.
