Former Corrections Officer Charged with Smuggling
A former corrections officer at the federal prison in Waymart is accused of smuggling tobacco into the prison.

According to the U.S. attorney's office, Jeremy Stark, 32, of Lake Ariel accepted more than $3,000 in bribes from inmates for the tobacco between May and early August of this year.

The prison is a smoke-free facility and inmates are not allowed to have or buy any tobacco product.

If found guilty, Stark faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
