A man was shot by state police after a stand-off that lasted for nearly five hours.
Shortly after noon on Friday troopers found a man in a stolen vehicle at St. Mary's Picnic Grounds in Conyngham Township near Mocanaqua. Police said the man showed a gun. Troopers tried to take him into custody after talking with him for several hours.
Police said the unidentified man from Pittston was shot once and is being treated at Geisinger in Plains for non-life threatening injuries.
State police are continuing the investigation in Luzerne County.
