Sergeant Patrick La Tournous of Honesdale returned home just in time for the holiday.
The soldier was welcomed by friends and family late Wednesday night at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
La Tournous was a member of the Army Reserve and spent almost two years serving in Afghanistan. Wednesday night's return marked the end of La Tournous's deployment to Afghanistan.
