In Snyder County police are investigating a series of suspicious fires and need help to find those responsible.
Jessica Caraballo said thre is little left of her three cars on Sand Hill Road in Selinsgrove. They went up in flames after someone set their shed next to vehicles on fire. "We lost three vehicles in total. I lost Christmas gifts and everything was lost. Their bikes skooters everything is gone. The only thing I can say is that they are safe," said Caraballo.
Selinsgrove police said it was one of four suspicious fires within a mile radius. Two of the fires have been ruled arson. Investigators said it happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Now they are searching for those responsible.
"This could have been more than more than what it was. It could have actually, I could have lost my kids and family. They are going to have to catch this person," added Caraballo.
The police chief said he increased patrols within the areas where the fires took place. Neighbors said the series of fires worries them.
"I'm not parking my car in the garage on a regular basis because I like my cars. And I keep an eye out the window but you can't sit by your window all the time," said neighbor Harold Aucker.
"Most of the neighbors around here if they would see anything suspicious they would let them know. I know I have the Selinsgrove Police Department's number on speed dial on my phone. So if I see anything I'll let them know," added neighbor Gary Wert.
Anyone with information on the fires is asked to call the Selinsgrove police at 570-374-8655.
