A man from Schuylkill County was found guilty Wednesday of animal cruelty charges.
John Shaner of Mahanoy City dropped off a boxer named Jasmine at the Hillside SPCA near Pottsville. Humane officers said the dog was starved and neglected.
Wednesday a judge in Schuylkill County found Shaner guilty of animal cruelty and fined him $500.
