The North Schuylkill High School band has been picked to play at Disney World in Florida over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Band Leader Matt Tenaglia said they will march in a parade in the Magic Kingdom, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. "I went to North Schuylkill so to march with these kids down the street at Disney, something that we worked for and it's a real big honor," Tenaglia said.

Band member Ryan Kovatch hopes to influence the younger children along the parade route. "I am the drum major of the band and if they see me maybe they'd like to join a band and get more kids into music which would be really good," Kovatch said.

Grace Glowacki explained It took a lot of effort to make the trip possible. "The whole cost of the trip is $45,000. We've had fund raisers and some of the parents are paying for some of the expense themselves," said Glowacki.

Sophomore Clarissa Shoffler said she's looking forward to see Mickey and all his friends. "I am actually very excited. Ihave never been there and it's even more exciting because I am going with a bunch of my friends, my mom, my sister," she said.

According to Danielle Yeselski, there is some some pressure now to be at they're very best. "If we don't learn the routine and one of us messes up, it depends on how much they mess up, we could look really bad and we always want to look our best," said Yeselski.

The nervousness will disappear after the parade is over said Chard Barnes. "Running through Magic Kingdom, going on all these different rides all the good food, shops and just having a good time."
