That's what happening at the Philly Pretzel Factory store in Saint Clair. They do that by mixing flour, yeast and a little special conditioner to make a pretzel. It can be formed any way before baking. The folks at the Pretzel Factory are molding the food into the logo's for the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees.
If you just want the letter "P" that can be ordered too said Sue Stewart, the store manager. "We have a lot of orders in for piles of "Ps" or the logo or they can put on their serving tray. It makes a good party favor for the parties and decorations. We do have a lot of Phillies fans but we always have one New Yorker come in here and say hey where is my pretzels, so we show them we have both," said Stewart.
Linda Dechert loves pretzels and explains she's a Phillies fan and her husband roots for the Yankees "He was born in Statan island and I've been a Phillies fan," Dechert said. She picked up some Phillies pretzels and thinks the idea is a good one. "That they can make it about the teams, we're big about having parties here, Super Bowl parties and World Series parties. I think it's great."
Some store employees believe the logo pretzel ideas should be expanded said Amanda Shinkus. "I am more of a football person, so I think we need a football promotion too, but I think the baseball one is a good idea," said Shinkus.
Those who run the the Philly Pretzel Factory said after the World Series is over they're looking forward to making special pretzels for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
