Milton Mom Being Returned to Washington
A woman came face to face with her ex-husband Friday, more than a decade after she fled with their children.

Jill Haugen will be headed to Washington state after a judge ordered Haugen to return to her home where she faces felony charges. Police said she took her two sons from their father nearly 12 years ago after he was awarded custody of the boys. The father was at the hearing.

"She hurt me because I haven't been able to have a life with my boys and hopefully here soon we can start working on that when we get back to Spokane," said William Connington, Haugen's ex-husband.

He said Haugen took off with the children back in 1998. Connington said he tried to search for Haugen and the children but couldn't find them. Haugen was arrested in December in Milton. Police said she had been living there for two years. Recently the governors of Pennsylvania and Washington state signed a warrant to bring her back to Washington. Haugen said she's does not want to go back to Washington state. She is a victim of domestic abuse and calls her ex-husband a liar.

"He purgered himself twice now. That's actually going help me back there," said Haugen.

Connington said his ex-wife deserves to pay the price for what she has done.

"I think she needs to stand justice for her actions. You've got to face the music anytime you do something wrong," added Haugen.

One of the pastors at Haugen's church said she is a good mother and will continue to standby the church member.

"She has been a good mother to these boys. They are excellent boys and I don't understand what would cause a woman almost 12 years ago to run. There had to be something to cause her to feel that way. I don't know what that was," said Pastor Jilline Bond, Revival Tabernacle Church.

Haugen is expected to be sent back to Washington State next week. The boys' father said he wants to bring his sons back home as soon as he can.
