Still, it a busy time for some heating and plumbing companies.
The temperature has dropped outside and it's just as cold inside the Holy Angels Church in Kulpmont.
Robert Balonisis in charge of maintenance and he called LTS Plumbing for heating help.
"The gas boiler went down. We had to switch over. It's a combination boiler and now the oil is starting to act up and we need heat," Balonisis said.
Workers at LTS said they keep getting phone calls from customers with similar problems. Their heating system is just not working during this cold weather.
Owner Leon Supic said business is up about 40 percent this week because of these types of cold weather calls.
Supic said during this time of year, boilers and furnaces are running constantly because of the cold weather which could cause break downs.
"With this cold snap we've been having a lot of no heat calls and we try to get to them as quickly as we can," Supic said. He added there is one way to try to avoid this from happening when you need the heat the most.
"If you have your heat furnace or pump tuned up in the fall before the extreme cold weather comes it would be advisable. That way you can avoid the 24 hour late night service," Supic said.
