It was almost a burglary early Wednesday at a bank in Snyder County.
Just before 3 a.m. troopers were called after an alarm at Northumberland National Bank on Lori Lane near Selinsgrove. State police said they caught Jorge Vasquez running from the ATM after he and another person who got away used a pick-up truck and chains to rip the machine from the bank building wall.
It caused about $30,000 damage to the ATM. No money was taken.
It turns out the pick-up truck used in the attempted theft was stolen.
