Rite Aid says it has done just that in Monroe County, opening a brand new store in Mount Pocono based specifically for shoppers in the Poconos.
It was not a typical ribbon cutting Thursday because it is not a typical local pharmacy.
The new Rite Aid store located at the five points intersection in Mount Pocono is called a consumer world store, designed specifically for Mount Ppocono shoppers.
"They come in and take a poll of everyone in the area, see what actually sells and everything is customer based," explained store manager Yavonne Glein.
It's one of 75 consumer world stores nationwide. In Mount Pocono that meant a larger pharmacy and a bigger make-up aisle.
Those focus groups resulted in a Hispanic products aisle. The manager said this is completely new to the store and is response to the growing Hispanic community.
"When I came in here it was like wow this is really great spacious. It's wonderful," said Patricia Manasia of Long Pond.
Shoppers said the new store is exactly what they want.
"It's bigger. It's got more variety of items that people would come in here and shop for," said Catherine Angelo of Long Pond.
Rite Aid officials hope the consumer-based design will also being in more business.
The more the better.
Rite Aid just announced a nearly one percent drop in sales for the month of November compared to last year.
