Vandals caused a wet mess at a gym in Monroe County over the weekend when they forced a toilet to overflow, leaving the place under 90 gallons of water.
"We came in Saturday morning to find this place whole place flooded out again," said gym owner Wendy Ottomanelli.
Police believe sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning someone stopped up a toilet in the second floor men's bathroom of the building and then overflowed the toilet, causing the flood.
Ottomanelli said the the water seeped through ceilings, into the walls and all over the floor. The gym owner also said it damaged fitness equipment and forced the gym and a nearby salon to close down for the day to clean up the mess.
"I can't work like this. There is water falling all over the place and my clients. I can't do shampoos," said Acreaction Salon owner Stella Zdichowski.
In all, the vandalism damaged 14 rooms in the Mount Pocono Professional Building, according the clean-up workers who were brought in to get rid of all of the water.
Ottomanelli said this is not the first time she's been a victim of flush flooding.
"It's frustrating to the members. This is impossible. This is the third time we have had damage here and it is not a good thing," said Ottomanelli.
The vandals were never caught but Ottomanelli said she is hopeful police will track down the toilet trouble makers so they don't make this kind of mess ever again.
Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call Pocono Mountain Regional Police at 570-895-2400.
