A fire has closed a restaurant in Monroe County.
Flames hit Coppola's Pizzeria along Route 191 in Analomink just after 8 a.m. Monday. A woman living in an apartment over the business told her landlord she heard a pop in the restaurant. The landlord saw heavy smoke inside and called for help.
The fire started in and was confined to the kitchen of the pizzeria although there was smoke and water damage in the restaurant and some smoke damage in the upstairs apartments.
There is no word when the restaurant will reopen.
