A family gathered Tuesday night to welcome home a soldier from Iraq. He's on a break from his fourth tour in that war-torn country.
Sergeant Ken Feese of South Williamsport is on a two-week leave from serving in Iraq.
Lots of family and friends gathered to welcome him home this night before Veterans Day.
Anxious family and friends gathered inside the Williamsport Regional Airport waiting for the arrival of Army National Guardsman.
Sergeant Feese first kissed his little girl, Kennedy, then gave lots of love to his son, Dayne and daughter, Lacie. He is in the midst of a one-year deployment to Iraq. He refuels Blackhawk helicopters.
The sergeant's wife, Tami, organized the homecoming surprise, something Feese has never received during his previous tours of duty.
"It was amazing. It was good to see him again. He's been gone too long," said Tami Feese.
"My wife is so wonderful. I'm usually not surprised. I am surprised by this but I am usually not surprised because this is usually the level of things she does, so it's pretty awesome," Sergeant Feese said.
"I miss him so much. I've always been daddy's little girl," said Lacie Feese. "It's really emotional. It's been a lot and it's hard."
"I'm very proud of him, very proud of him, serving his country. That's what he wants to do," said mother Nora Feese.
He is a devoted soldier whose mission for now is to just have fun.
"Bart's Pizza in Williamsport, that's number one on my list and just hanging out with my wife and kids and relaxing," said Sergeant Feese.
He will return to Iraq in two weeks. His tour of duty will end in February.
