A man from Virginia is locked up in Lycoming County, accused of trashing a house.
According to police, David Edwards was staying at the home on Hazel Brook Lane near Williamsport while he went through drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Offices said Edwards smashed windows, put holes in walls, broke furniture, poured bleach on clothing and rugs and turned on the gas burners of the stove to fill the house with gas.
Damage is estimated at more than $75,000.
Edwars was charged with attempted arson, causing a catastrophe, criminal mishief and theft. He is locked up on $75,000 bail.
