Bellas Suspended from Redevelopment Authority
The ongoing corruption investigation has now led to the suspension of the head of the Luzerne County Redevelopment Authority.

Earlier this month, Allen Bellas told the authority board he was in trouble from the corruption scandal. He had planned to resign but then changed his mind. Instead, the board suspended him Tuesday without pay. Bellas was making $59,000 a year.

"We suspended Allen and we suspended him according to the employee policy. Now, you've heard the rumors as we've heard them but we have nothing definitive as to what he has done," said Paul Paternoster, president of the redevelopment authority.

At last check, Bellas is still the president of the Wyoming Valley West School Board.

He has not been charged with any crime.
