People from all parts of the country are in Luzerne County to pay respects to Trooper Joshua Miller.
Trooper Miller was killed Sunday night after a police chase in the Poconos ended in a shoot-out.
The viewing for Trooper Miller got underway at 1 p.m. at Pittston Area High School. It runs until 8 p.m.
At times there were long longs stretching outside the front door of the school.
Mourners enter the lobby of the school where they see pictures of Trooper Miller. There is also an 18 minute video tribute playing.
The line makes its way all the way down to the floor of the auditorium where Trooper Miller and his family is.
Trooper Miller's body was under 24 hour guard by state troopers at a funeral home in Tunkhannock. Late Thursday morning the body was taken from the funeral home to Pittston Area High School via a long procession of vehicles.
People went to the high school all afternoon to pay their respects, many of them sheriffs, troopers and police officers from as near as Wilkes-Barre and Taylor and others as far as Arkansas, Vermont and Rochester, New York.
