Law Enforcement Officers Show Support
The most obvious thing noticable at the public viewing for Trooper Joshua Miller is the incredible outpouring of support from the law enforcement community, there to honor and pay tribute to one of their own.

They came by the thousands. State troopers and police from all over, from other states and all across the commonwealth.

"To show comaraderie and show support to fellow law enforcement officer. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania law enforcement is universal so, we support each other," said Roosevelt Poplar of Pennsylvania State and Philadelphia Lodge.

Inside Pittston Area High School, where Trooper Joshua Miller was once a student, a memorial is laid out in his honor and there was a video tribute to his 34 years of life.

For those who knew him and worked with him-, it was too much to bear.

"He was a dedicated loyal, Pennsylvania state trooper who not only worked the job, but lived the job and as I'm finding out more and more, because he lived up in this area, and I didn't get a chance to meet his family before today, he was a man a husband and a father to his family," said Pennsylvania State Police Captain James Murtin.

Officers said when one of their own falls, the most important thing they can do is to honor and remember.

"I think it just helps us deal with the loss of a brother and for us to carry on and do our jobs as well as give a lot of support to the family so they know their loved one didn't die in vain, that there will always be someone to remember him," said Wilkes-Barre Police Chief Gerry Dessoye.

Police officers in attendance came from all over, New York, Vermont, Arkansas and troopers from California will be coming Thursday evening.
