Expect traffic delays for a second day on parts of Interstate 81 in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.
Southbound traffic is restricted in Lackawanna County. The right lane is closed between the Moosic exit (180-) and the Avoca exit (178) for repairs. That work is scheduled to be completed by 2 p.m. A work project between the Waverly and Clarks Summit exits wrapped up by noon.
In the northbound lanes, the right lane is closed between the Nuangola exit (164) and the Highland Park Boulevard/Wilkes-Barre exit (168) for bridge repairs. That work should also wrap up by 3 p.m.
PennDOT urges drivers to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
