One person was killed in a crash in Throop, Lackawanna County.
The deadly wreck happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday on Keystone Industrial Park Road in Throop.
Police said a sport/utility vehicle was heading from Throop into Dunmore when the driver lost control. The SUV flipped and rolled. A passenger, Jonathon Wentline, 21, of Dunmore, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver was not hurt.
Police said a witness told them there was a second vehicle coming in the opposite direction that forced the SUV off the road. Police have not released a description of that second vehicle and are still checking that story. They are still not sure if that second vehicle did indeed play a role in the crash.
