A computer glitch at the Federal Aviation Administration forced air traffic controllers to enter flight information manually Thursday morning, delaying flights for hours, in some cases.
The problem has been fixed but the delays continue.
Delays at Wilkes Barre/Scranton International Airport made the departure and arrival board resemble more like that of a snowy winter day.
Mike Dennis, FAA manager at the airport, said the delays would trickle down through the rest of the afternoon.
Gary Zabada's plans hit a snag when he found out the travelers he brought to the airport were facing some steep delays.
"They were scheduled to leave at 12:00 and now they're shooting for 3 p.m. so I'm not getting back to work until 3," Zabada said.
One flight has been canceled. An inbound US Airways flight scheduled to arrive at 6 p.m. from Philadelphia has been canceled due to the computer problem.
