Whoever played the role of Grinch stole close to $3,000 in cash and gifts.
Jason Hardy's family cabin near Lock Haven was the scene of an overnight burglary. Missing are hundreds of dollars worth of gifts, a flat-screen TV and roughly $1,000 in cash.
"Obviously once they got the TV they took all the kids' Christmas gifts. All of them," explained Hardy.
"It's absolutely horrible, it's devastating. Somebody comes into your place and steals all your kids' Christmas presents," added brother Jared Hardy.
It has become a Christmas tradition for the Hardy family to spend the holiday at their camp and have the grandchildren open presents from Grammy and Pop. This year, Grammy and Pop Hardy are looking for replacements for those gifts after someone stole them.
"We have six little grandchildren that love it out here. They know we spend Christmas out here. They couldn't wait to come out and open up their presents. We're going shopping tomorrow," said Donna Hardy, better known as Grammy.
Donna Hardy had carefully wrapped toys and handmade clothes for her grandchildren. All of them are gone, along with the money they were supposed to get. The Hardy family hopes whoever has the Christmas gifts is caught and punished.
"Opening those presents and the smiles on their face is priceless. Someone took that from us, I'm pretty upset about that," said Wayne Hardy.
"I hope they feel really good about themselves that they stole Christmas from a bunch of kids. That's terrible," added Jared Hardy.
